ANDHRA PRADESH: Tirumala Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan: 10-Day Arrangements Prioritize Devotees
Pilgrims eyeing a serene glimpse of Lord Venkateswara during the sacred Vaikunta Dwara Darshan can breathe easier, as Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams gears up with devotee-first measures.
Chairman B. Ramachandra Naidu outlined robust plans for the 10-day festivity spanning December 30, 2025, to January 8, 2026, emphasizing accessibility over elite access.
Speaking to reporters at his camp office on Wednesday, Naidu highlighted a shift toward inclusivity, drawing from lessons of past crowds.
Ample Hours for Everyday Devotees
The temple complex will unlock its celestial portals for a total of 182 hours over the period, with a generous 164 hours reserved exclusively for ordinary visitors.
This allocation underscores TTD’s commitment to equity, curtailing VIP slots to just 18 hours.
Naidu stressed that such tweaks aim to foster a tranquil experience, free from the usual jostles of peak seasons.
E-darshan bookings kicked off November 27, allowing seamless online access for the initial three days.
From January 2 onward, Rs.300 special entry and Srivani trust tickets will also go live digitally, capping daily allotments at 15,000 and 100 respectively.
Crowd Control and Serenity Pledges
To handle the anticipated influx, TTD has lined up enhanced facilities like expanded queue lines, medical outposts, and shuttle services from key drop points.
Naidu urged the faithful to adhere to guidelines, from timely arrivals to waste-free zones, promising a hassle-free spiritual sojourn. “Our focus remains on the common man,” he added, evoking a sense of shared reverence amid the divine rush.
Past incidents, including a minor stampede in early 2025, prompted these refinements, blending tradition with modern logistics.
As registrations surge, devotees are advised to monitor the official portal for updates.
This year’s blueprint not only honors the festival’s essence but also tests TTD’s resolve in balancing devotion with devotion’s demands.
