Global Glamour Descends on Hyderabad

The grand finale of Miss World 2025 is set to take place this Saturday at the iconic Hitex Exhibition Center in Hyderabad, India. The venue has been transformed into a vibrant showcase of lights and culture as it prepares to host one of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageants.

This is the third time India is hosting the Miss World event, following previous editions in Bengaluru (1996) and Mumbai (2024).

108 Nations, One Title

A total of 108 contestants from across the globe are competing for the coveted Miss World 2025 crown. Among them, 16—including Miss India Nandini Gupta—have already secured spots in the Top 40. The remaining 24 semifinalists will be chosen by judges during the event.

In the final stage, one contestant from each continental zone—Americas-Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and Asia-Oceania—will be shortlisted. The Miss World title will then be awarded after a decisive Q\&A round between these four finalists.

Passing the Crown

Kristina Píšková, the reigning Miss World 2024 and the 72nd titleholder, will officially crown her successor in the concluding moments of the evening.

Hosts and Jury Panel

The judging panel includes a mix of global icons and national celebrities:

  • Julia Morley – Chairperson of Miss World (Jury Head)
  • Sonu Sood – Actor and humanitarian
  • Sudha Reddy – Director, MEIL
  • Carina Tyrrell – Miss England 2014

The show will be co-hosted by Stephanie Del Valle (Miss World 2016) and Indian presenter Sachin Kumbhar.

Stage Performances and Honors

Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter will entertain the audience with energetic performances. Actor Sonu Sood will be honored with the Miss World Humanitarian Award for his notable contributions to social causes.

India’s Track Record in Miss World

India has secured the Miss World crown six times, making it one of the top countries in the pageant’s history. The Indian winners are:

  • Rita Faria (1966)
  • Aishwarya Rai (1994)
  • Diana Hayden (1997)
  • Yukta Mookhey (1999)
  • Priyanka Chopra (2000)
  • Manushi Chhillar (2017)

From just 11 countries participating in 1952 to a peak of 127 in 2013, Miss World has grown into a truly global platform.

Sudha Reddy Named Global Ambassador

On the eve of the finale, Sudha Reddy, Director at Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), was announced as Miss World Global Ambassador. The appointment was confirmed by Julia Morley, acknowledging Reddy’s commitment to social advancement and global outreach.
