TELUGU STATES: Twisted Bonds: New Twists in Gadwal Murder Case
Sensational Case Unravels
The murder of 32-year-old land surveyor Ganta Tejeshwar in Jogulamba Gadwal district continues to grip the Telugu states with fresh revelations. The investigation, led by Gadwal Circle Inspector T. Srinu, has uncovered intricate details of betrayal and premeditation.
Court Remands Key Accused
The court remanded prime accused A1 V. Tirumala Rao and A2 Aishwarya to three days of police custody for further interrogation. This follows their arrest alongside six others for the June 17 murder, which shocked the region.
Aishwarya’s Reluctant Marriage
Aishwarya, Tejeshwar’s 23-year-old wife, opposed their January 2025 engagement and subsequent May 18 wedding. Her extramarital relationship with Tirumala Rao, a 35-year-old bank manager, fueled the conspiracy to eliminate Tejeshwar.
Missing Person Probe
In January, Aishwarya’s brief disappearance prompted her brother to file a missing person complaint in Kurnool. Investigations revealed she had fled to Tirumala Rao’s sister in a Bengaluru hostel, intending to elope before family intervention forced her return.
Suspicion and Surveillance
Tirumala Rao, suspecting Aishwarya’s fidelity, allegedly monitored her movements using a GPS tracker attached to her scooty. The device, later seized from her Kurnool residence, provided critical evidence of the duo’s meticulous planning.
Murder Plot Execution
On June 17, contract killers lured Tejeshwar under the guise of a land survey, brutally murdering him near Erravalli by slitting his throat and stabbing him. The body was dumped near the HNSS canal in Kurnool, with belongings discarded in the Krishna River.
Evidence and Confessions
Police recovered the murder vehicle, weapons, cash, and mobile phones, alongside the GPS tracker. Aishwarya’s 2,000 calls to Tirumala Rao and confessions during interrogation confirmed the premeditated nature of the crime.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are reconstructing the crime scene and probing additional suspects, including Aishwarya’s mother Sujatha and Tirumala Rao’s father. The case’s eerie similarity to the Meghalaya honeymoon murder adds complexity to the investigation.
