The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has submitted the second supplementary chargesheet in the Vijayawada Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court concerning the alleged Rs 1,000 crore liquor scam from the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) administration.
This filing marks the third chargesheet in the case, highlighting expanded findings from ongoing probes.
The document details the roles of several individuals linked to former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, focusing on bribery and fund misuse tied to liquor supply operations.
Key Accused and Their Involvement
Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy, listed as accused number 38 (A-38) and a close associate of the ex-CM, is described as the central figure in orchestrating the transfer of bribe funds to YSRCP candidates during recent elections.
Investigators conclude he managed the collection and distribution process.
CH Venkatesh Naidu (A-34), a key ally of Chevireddy, handled the transportation of these funds to designated points. M. Balaji Kumar Yadav (A-35) and E. Naveen Krishna (A-36) provided support in these activities, with vehicles from the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) reportedly used for logistics.
The chargesheet also names recipients of the transferred funds, outlining connections between the scam and electoral financing.
Evidence Presented in Court
Supporting materials include call detail records (CDRs), cell tower location data, and tower dumps to trace communications and movements.
Device activity logs and forensic analyses further corroborate the findings.
Vehicle tracking near toll plazas adds to the evidence, painting a comprehensive picture of the operational network involved in the alleged bribery.
Overall Case Status
To date, the SIT has identified 29 individuals and 19 companies as accused in the liquor scam. Twelve arrests have been made, with four individuals, Kalva Dhanunjaya Reddy (A-31), Pellakur Krishnamohan Reddy (A-32), Balaji Govindappa (A-33), and Paila Dilip (A-30), granted bail.
