TELANGANA: Kavitha’s Fiery Rebuke Shakes Telangana Politics
Escalating Intra-Party Tensions
Telangana Jagruti President K. Kavitha voiced profound dismay over the tarnished reputation of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), attributing it to actions by close associates.
She specifically interrogated the role of T. Harish Rao, who served as Irrigation Minister for five years, in the controversies.
Former MP J. Santosh Kumar echoed similar sentiments, directly implicating Harish Rao in besmirching KCR’s image.
Critique of Kaleshwaram Project Handling
Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad, Kavitha lambasted the notion that minor structural failures in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project equate to its total collapse.
She contended that such setbacks do not undermine the project’s overarching viability.
Allegations of Conspiracy
Kavitha accused Harish Rao and Santosh of repeatedly plotting against her, though she had previously refrained from public disclosure.
She asserted that current Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy orchestrates these maneuvers through a purported defamatory pact.
Under this alleged arrangement, Revanth Reddy avoids targeting Harish Rao and Santosh, instead focusing scrutiny on KCR.
Defense of KCR’s Integrity
Portraying KCR as an unassailable figure akin to the Himalayas, Kavitha decried corruption allegations against him as profoundly unjust.
She recounted KCR’s personal financial hardships, including challenges during her own wedding, to underscore his incorruptibility.
Kavitha expressed outrage over the CBI inquiry into the Kaleshwaram Project, viewing it as a premeditated assault on KCR’s honor.
Challenge to Political Adversaries
Kavitha dared Revanth Reddy to act if no illicit agreement exists, threatening to disclose further details.
She criticized his stance on Backward Classes (BC) reservations, accusing him of compromising Telangana’s interests for Bihar’s benefit.
