NATIONAL: Jammu Blasts Spark Panic!

Thursday Evening Chaos
Multiple loud explosions rocked Jammu (Jammu) on Thursday evening, causing widespread panic among residents.
The blasts followed a day after India conducted targeted strikes on terror camps in Pakistan (Pakistan) and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Unclear Cause
The exact cause of the explosions remains unknown, heightening anxiety in the region.
Local authorities are investigating to determine the source of the blasts.

Red Projectiles in Sky
Residents reported seeing red projectiles and flashes in the sky just before the explosions.
These sightings added to the confusion and fear among the local population.

Sirens and Blackouts
Air raid sirens and complete blackouts preceded the blasts, intensifying the tense atmosphere.
Former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, Shesh Paul Vaid (Shesh Paul Vaid), posted on X, reassuring residents of the Indian Armed Forces’ vigilance.

Public Reaction
Shopkeepers hurriedly closed their businesses, rushing home as panic spread.
One X user shared real-time visuals, stating, “Missiles are flying over our houses in Jammu RIGHT NOW.”

Operation Sindoor
On Wednesday, India executed ‘Operation Sindoor (Sindoor)’, targeting nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The strikes were a response to the April 29 Pahalgam (Pahalgam) attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists.

Strategic Strikes
Five terror camps, located 9-30 km inside Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and four others, 6-100 km inside Pakistan, were hit with precision weapons.
The targets were selected based on intelligence confirming their role in terror activities against India.

Government’s Stance
Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) had authorized the armed forces to respond decisively to the Pahalgam attack.
The military was given full operational freedom to choose the mode, targets, and timing of the response.

Ongoing Tensions
The cross-border strikes were anticipated after the Pahalgam massacre, signaling India’s firm stance against terrorism.
The latest explosions in Jammu have further escalated India-Pakistan tensions.
