Movie Desk: Telusu Kada Movie Review: Siddu Jonnalagadda Shines in a Mature Emotional Drama

Telusu Kada Movie Review: Telusu Kada is a mature romantic drama exploring the complexities of love, loss, and second chances.

Directed by Neeraja Kona, the film stars Siddu Jonnalagadda, Raashi Khanna, and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles.

Story

Varun (Siddu Jonnalagadda) is an orphan who has built a successful life through hard work. His dream is simple to settle down, build a loving family, and have children.

However, life takes a turn when his first love, Raga (Srinidhi Shetty), ends their relationship after failing to understand him.

Heartbroken but determined to move on, Varun meets Anjali (Raashi Khanna) through a matrimonial site. The two connect instantly and soon get married.

Just as life begins to look perfect, an unexpected problem shakes their world and Raga re-enters Varun’s life through Anjali, leading to emotional turmoil and unexpected twists.

Analysis

Telusu Kada is an emotionally rich and introspective film that delves deep into modern relationships and the emotional scars they carry.

The dialogues are mature, thought-provoking, and often hit hard.

However, with only four main characters and heavy conversations driving most of the film’s two-and-a-half-hour runtime, it may feel slow for audiences expecting mainstream entertainment.

Director Neeraja Kona, in her debut, handles the parallel timelines, the present and Varun’s past love story with skill in the first half.

The story takes an engaging turn at the interval, especially when the twist about Raga’s return unfolds.

However, the second half falters due to unnatural character behavior and repetitive conversations. The pacing dips, testing the audience’s patience.

Fortunately, the emotional intensity and Siddu Jonnalagadda’s standout performance in the climax revive the film in its final act.

While commercial success may be uncertain, Telusu Kada will appeal strongly to audiences who appreciate content-driven cinema and mature storytelling.

Performances and Technical Aspects

Siddu Jonnalagadda delivers a career-best performance, portraying vulnerability and emotional maturity with finesse.

Raashi Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty complement the narrative with strong screen presence.

Thaman’s music and background score elevate the film’s emotional depth.

Neeraja Kona’s writing, especially the dialogues, stands out as one of the film’s biggest strengths.

On the downside, the film’s length, minimal characters, and lack of commercial elements make it feel heavy and repetitive at times.

Siddu Jonnalagadda’s mature and heartfelt performance

Thaman’s music and background score

Sharp and realistic dialogues by Neeraja Kona

Minus Points

Slow-paced second half

Repetitive conversations

Verdict

Telusu Kada is a mature emotional drama that explores modern love and human vulnerability with depth.

Despite its slow pacing, it’s a heartfelt attempt backed by strong performances, soulful music, and meaningful dialogues.
