Movie Desk: The much-anticipated Allu Arjun ICON movie update is trending again in Tollywood circles.
Initially planned with Allu Arjun under the direction of Venu Sriram and production by Dil Raju, the movie was shelved due to Bunny’s packed schedule.
Now, sources suggest the project might be revived soon — potentially with a new lead actor.
🎥 After the release of Vakeel Saab, director Venu Sriram worked on the ICON script, but the project was shelved as Allu Arjun got busy with the Pushpa series.
Venu later moved on to direct Thammudu with actor Nithiin.
Clarifying recent rumors, Venu stated that Thammudu is not based on ICON and confirmed that the ICON story is separate and still under consideration.
📝 Meanwhile, producer Dil Raju had registered the ICON title long ago, and there were even rumors it would be used for Allu Arjun’s film with Atlee, which were later dismissed.
🎯 Now, sources from Dil Raju’s camp indicate they are actively scouting for a suitable hero to revive the ICON script.
