The much-anticipated India wins Asia Cup 2025 final vs Pakistan clash in Dubai ended with Team India reaffirming its dominance in Asian cricket.
India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets to lift their ninth Asia Cup title, with young Telugu batter Tilak Varma emerging as the hero of the night.
Batting first, Pakistan could only manage 146 runs before being bowled out.
Apart from Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46), no other batter stood tall against India’s sharp bowling attack.
Kuldeep Yadav (4/30) spun a web around Pakistan’s middle order, while Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Varun chipped in with crucial wickets.
Chasing the modest target, India had a shaky start as the top three batters fell cheaply.
At this critical moment, Tilak Varma held his nerve, anchoring the innings with remarkable composure.
Supported by Sanju Samson (24) and later Shivam Dube (33), Tilak guided India closer to victory.
Tilak played a match-winning knock of 69 not out off 53 balls, including a fifty in just 41 balls.
His aggressive stroke play in the death overs, with sixes and boundaries, eased the pressure on the Indian side.
Rinku Singh sealed the win with a boundary in the closing stages.
This triumph also set a new record for India, as they defeated Pakistan three times in a single tournament, a first in Asia Cup history.
While Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling brilliance was a standout, it was Tilak Varma’s fearless innings that turned the final in India’s favor.
With this victory, India not only bagged their ninth Asia Cup trophy but also underlined their supremacy in continental cricket.
