Andhra Pradesh: Tirupati’s ₹35,000 Cr Spiritual Township Revolution
A landmark agreement has just paved the way for a massive integrated township in Tirupati. Della Townships recently signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop the Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam International Township. Spanning 1,400 acres, this project carries a gross development value of around ₹35,000 crore.
The initiative draws strong support from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Della founder Jimmy Mistry. It involves close coordination with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and the state tourism department. Many view it as a game-changer for cultural and spiritual tourism.
Heart of the Project: Living Exhibition
At its core lies the world’s first 5,000-year living exhibition on Hinduism, covering 300 acres. This immersive space will feature 25 grand pavilions, each spanning about one lakh square feet. They will trace India’s civilizational journey from the Indus Valley era to contemporary Hindu thought.
Visitors can explore Vedic knowledge systems, classical arts, temple architecture, rituals, and regional traditions. Organizers plan to invite all Indian states and union territories to design and contribute to their own pavilions. The goal is to unify diverse Hindu heritage threads into one compelling narrative.
Luxury and Lifestyle Amenities
Beyond the exhibition, the township will offer high-end living options. Planners include luxurious residences, private villas, and five-star resorts with over 600 rooms. Destination wedding venues promise to attract events from across the globe.
Additional highlights feature an 18-hole golf course, equestrian facilities with an international polo club, extreme adventure parks, and a European-style medical wellness pavilion. A dedicated design district will host 25 to 30 luxury brands, while senior living spaces focus on holistic wellbeing.
Boost for Jobs and Local Economy
The development is set to create approximately 20,000 employment opportunities. Notably, nearly 80 percent of these jobs will prioritize local residents. This emphasis on community involvement could bring significant socioeconomic benefits to the region.
Positioned near Tirupati airport, the township aims to elevate the area as a premier global destination. It blends spirituality, culture, hospitality, and adventure in ways that could draw visitors year-round.
