Speaking at a Hyderabad conference on safeguarding victims of sexual assault, he reaffirmed his government’s commitment to stringent action against perpetrators. Prioritizing Child and Women Safety
On July 5, 2025, at a Hyderabad conference titled “Protection and Safety of Child Victims of Sexual Assault,” CM Reddy highlighted his administration’s focus on safeguarding children and women. He emphasized that the state’s Bharosa Centers provide critical support to victims of sexual violence. These centers offer counseling, legal aid, and medical assistance to ensure holistic recovery and justice.
Condemning Sexual Violence
Reddy called for collective societal condemnation of sexual crimes against children, labeling them as heinous acts requiring zero tolerance. He warned that perpetrators would face severe legal consequences under relevant laws, including the POCSO Act, 2012. The government is committed to expediting investigations and prosecutions to deliver swift justice.
Social Media Vigilance Advised
The Chief Minister urged citizens to exercise caution on social media platforms, citing their potential misuse in facilitating crimes like cyberstalking and exploitation.
