Movie Desk: In a heartfelt revelation, actress Meena Clarifies Remarriage Rumors, who has been a leading star in South Indian cinema for over three decades, has spoken out about the false news surrounding her personal life.
Addressing the issue in a recent talk show, she stated that the Meena clarifies remarriage rumors that emerged shortly after her husband Vidyasagar’s death in 2022 caused her immense emotional pain.
Meena shared that while her family was still grieving, some media outlets published stories suggesting she was planning a second marriage.
“Just a week after my husband’s passing, they wrote about my remarriage. Don’t they have families of their own? I cannot express how deeply it hurt us,” she said tearfully.
She further added that the rumors did not stop there.
Whenever another actor went through a divorce, her name was unnecessarily dragged into speculation, which she found extremely distressing.
Reflecting on her professional journey, Meena recalled that she had faced struggles in her career as well.
She even agreed to work for lower remuneration at times to support struggling producers.
However, her role opposite Mohanlal in Drishyam gave her a powerful second innings in cinema.
Ultimately, Meena made it clear that she has not distanced herself from her family nor remarried, emphasizing that the stories were baseless rumors.
