The Andhra Premier League (APL) Season 4 commences on August 8, 2025, at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu and actor Venkatesh, the league’s brand ambassador, will grace the opening ceremony as chief guests.

Featuring seven franchise teams, APL Season 4 includes 25 matches—21 league games and four playoffs—running from August 8 to August 23, 2025. The opening match pits Kakinada Kings against Amaravati Royals, setting the tone for intense competition.

The tournament offers a Rs. 35 lakh prize for the winner and Rs. 20 lakh for the runner-up, incentivizing top performances. With 520 players, including mandatory Under-19 and Under-16 talents, the league serves as a vital platform for IPL scouts.

The APL trophy was unveiled at Novotel Hotel, with captains Hemanth Reddy (Bhimavaram Bulls), Ricky Bhui (Simhadri Vizag Lions), Shaik Rasheed (Royals of Rayalaseema), K.S. Bharat (Kakinada Kings), Maheep Kumar (Tungabhadra Warriors), Hanuma Vihari (Amaravati Royals), and Ashwin Hebbar (Vijayawada Sunshiners) in attendance.
