
ANDHRA PRADESH: 1,000 Temples Proposed: Ambitious Plan of TTD to Safeguard Faith
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has launched a plan to construct 1,000 temples throughout the state.
TTD chief BR Naidu stated that a maximum of six temples will be built in each assembly constituency, with the money provided through the Srivani Trust.
The objective of the campaign is to reinforce religious traditions and mitigate questions surrounding religious conversions.
Brahmotsavam Takes Center Stage
Traditionally, the TTD trustees’ council meeting discussed preparations for the famous Srivari Brahmotsavam.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will observe the festival for the first time, incorporating modern stewardship into traditional culture.
Naidu announced that officials expect throngs of devotees, with plans in place to ensure a pleasant experience.
Upcoming Events:
- Inauguration: The Brahmotsavam events will start with a ceremony on the 23rd of September.
- Flag Hoisting: On the 24th of September at Meenalagnam, the chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, and his wife will present Lord Venkateswara with silk robes.
- Fairness: VIP break darshans based on recommendation letters will also be halted for 10 days to maintain regular devotee priority.
On September 28, the estimated number of devotees for the Garuda Seva is around 300,000.
To ensure safety, TTD is planning to introduce a geo-tagging action to prevent children from being lost in a sea of people.
